Auf Unterst\u00fctzungsangebote wie Therapien und Beratungen zuzugreifen, gestaltet sich f\u00fcr viele junge Menschen aufgrund von pers\u00f6nlicher und struktureller Ressourcenknappheit als schwierig; auch Stigma und mangelnde Informationen f\u00fchren dazu, dass oftmals nicht auf professionelle Angebote zugegriffen wird. Zus\u00e4tzlich f\u00fchrt die vermehrte Nutzung digitaler R\u00e4ume unter Jugendlichen zu zus\u00e4tzlichen Stressoren, die neue Bew\u00e4ltigungsstrategien erfordern. Das open2chat-Projekt greift diese Schwierigkeiten auf und verbindet niederschwellige Unterst\u00fctzung in Form einer Peer-to-Peer-Begleitung mit einem f\u00fcr Jugendliche vertrauten und attraktivem Medium: dem Internet. W\u00e4hrend so ausgebildete Personen zwischen 16 und 21 Jahren Gleichaltrige in einem hybriden Chat\/E-Mail-Format begleiten, wird open2chat laufend wissenschaftlich evaluiert und basierend auf den W\u00fcnschen von Nutzer*innen auf beiden Seiten des Kommunikationsprozesses verbessert.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schl\u00fcsselw\u00f6rter<br \/>\n<\/strong>Peer-to-Peer-Support, Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr Jugendliche, Citizen Science, Psychische Gesundheit, Digitale Medien<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract<br \/>\n<\/strong>Austrian adolescents often suffer from psychological stress and mental illness \u2013 a condition that was exacerbated by the CoVid-pandemic. Accessing support services such as therapies and counselling is difficult for many young people due to a lack of personal and structural resources; stigma and lack of information also mean that professional services are often not accessed by those who would profit from such services. What is more, the increased use of digital media among young people leads to additional stressors that require new coping strategies. The open2chat project addresses these difficulties and combines low-threshold support in the form of peer-to-peer guidance with a medium that is familiar and attractive to young people: the internet.
